This 30 day series teaches how simple mindfulness is by walking you through simple steps to practice this life altering technique. Abuse of all kinds can take us right out of our heads. This 30 day series puts you back in the driver's seat of your thoughts, your reactions, and your responses.
Day Twenty Six - Body Scan for Pain or Discomfort
In this short video you will walk through the following steps:
1. Stop. Take a breathe. Watch the breath moving in and out.
2. Do a complete body scan. Start at the top of your head and check in. Notice how you feel.
3. Slowly move down checking in with your face, neck, shoulders, arms, torso, hips, legs, and feet.
4. Do you feel any soreness, aches or pains anywhere in your body? Breathe into the discomfort or pain. Just let it know you see it, and you are giving it space.
5. We can't change anything unless we accept it. So your focus now is simply to see, to consider, to question and to accept.
6.As you walk through your day check in with yourself if you are feeling uncomfortable or hurting. Give the pain some space to be.
